How to check if the aluminum chromate film meets the requirements:
– The chromate film is blue-gray, smooth and firm, giving off very bright and shiny light.
– No stains, no white powder or aluminum mold.
Application:
– Anti-mold aluminum, does not cause aluminum surface to be rough.
– Creates grip and elasticity for the powder coating.
– The created film is gray-blue in color, porous in structure, and has a suitable thickness to act as a base for the paint layer.
– Creating a chromate conversion coating is a method of creating a surface before electrostatic painting that is highly economical and consumes little chemicals.
Advantage:
– Simple operation.
– Short soaking time, low consumption, high economic efficiency.
– Does not fade when dried at high temperatures.
Effects of Aluminum Chromate
The conversion coating on the aluminum surface in the aluminum chromate process has the following effects:
– Protect aluminum surface against mold and rust
– Create layers with many different colors: Yellow, blue, colorless, seven-color gold….
– The coating forms tightly packed, durable crystals (as a base for the powder coating, also known as creating adhesion for the powder coating)
– Durable, smooth, tight coating (creates elasticity, smoothness, and firmness for the electrostatic paint layer)
Common mistakes in aluminum processing
– Aluminum after processing becomes powder, chalky, and very dusty when wiped off.
– Wipe the film thoroughly to remove all color, leaving the aluminum surface exposed.
– Dark, dull film
– Uneven staining
– Beautiful film, paint still peels off after painting
– The film is too pale.
Notes when using aluminum chromate chemical CR-425C:
– The blue-gray aluminum chromate chemical CR-323C is mildly acidic, so when using it, you must comply with labor safety. Such as gas masks, rubber gloves, glasses, protective clothing.
Handling of accidents
– Contact with skin, hands, clothes: change clothes immediately, rinse under running water for 15 minutes.
– Eye contact: remove contact lenses, rinse gently with clean water for 15 minutes, rest, seek medical advice.
– Contact through respiratory tract: need to go to fresh air, if having difficulty breathing, give oxygen and see a doctor.
– Oral contact: drink plenty of water, do not put anything in the throat when the patient faints, see a doctor.
Storage and inventory: Store in a cool, dry warehouse, clearly label the packaging, date of manufacture, and expiration date. Always keep the can tightly closed.
